Rating Methodology
MyApopka Stars and the MyApopka Trust Score are independently calculated using publicly available review data from third-party platforms.
We currently aggregate review data from:
- Google Reviews
- Facebook (where accessible)
- Yelp Reviews
Each platform contributes to the overall score based on relative local usage and review relevance. Weighting percentages are reviewed periodically and may be adjusted to reflect platform activity, data integrity, or community trends.
Current configured platform weights: Google 80%, Facebook 10%, Yelp 10%.
Platform inputs may be missing for some listings. When one or more platform scores are unavailable, calculations use the remaining available platform scores and reweight accordingly.
In addition to platform weighting, our scoring model may incorporate review volume and recency factors to help ensure that businesses with more substantial and current feedback are represented fairly.
Current methodology applies a confidence factor based on review volume and a recency factor based on the latest available review date returned by source platforms. Where a platform review date is missing or not parseable, fallback behavior may be used to avoid overstating freshness.
The MyApopka Trust Score (0–100) is a scaled representation of this aggregated and standardized rating.

All reviews and related content remain the property of their respective platforms.
In some cases, data fields may be manually maintained by administrators to preserve listing accuracy when platform access is limited or unavailable.
Methodology, weighting structures, and calculation models may evolve over time as we refine our system to better reflect community sentiment and data integrity.
